Real Courtroom & Jury Trial Experience

Election Day is November 3, 2026

Meet Angelina.

Angelina is a lifelong public servant, experienced felony prosecutor, former law enforcement officer, and conservative candidate for District Court Judge, Division C. For more than two decades, she has dedicated her career to protecting the public, upholding the rule of law, and serving her community.

Angelina currently serves as a Felony Prosecutor and Assistant District Attorney with the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecutes serious criminal offenses and works closely with law enforcement, victims of crime, and the courts to ensure justice is carried out fairly and consistently. Before becoming a prosecutor, she spent 13 years in law enforcement, serving as a detective with the Gainesville Police Department in Florida. During her tenure, she was promoted to the department’s Public Information Officer, strengthening transparency and trust between law enforcement and the public.

After relocating to Louisiana, Angelina earned her law degree from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2016. Angelina was president of the Trial Advocacy Board in her final year of law school and today she continues to volunteer her time as a trial advocacy judge to mentor law students. After graduation, she began her legal career prosecuting felony crimes with the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office before joining the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, where she continues to serve today.

In addition to her public service, Angelina owned and operated SNACX charcuterie in Covington for two years. She grew her business, became a vendor at the Saenger Theater, and was recognized in Inside Northside’s Women in Business issue in 2023.

While running her business, she made it a priority to give back by donating charcuterie boards and sweets to women and children at Safe Harbor. Her involvement with the organization led to her nomination as a “Real Superhero” at the Safe Harbor Gala, which supports victims of domestic violence. Through her experience as a small business owner, she gained firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by small business owners, such as navigating regulations, managing employees, meeting payroll, and serving customers and the community responsibly.

Angelina’s judicial philosophy is rooted in conservative principles: respect for the Constitution, accountability to the law as written, personal responsibility, and a firm commitment to public safety. Her unique background as a police officer, prosecutor, and small business owner provides her with a balanced, real-world perspective.

She and her husband, Dr. Keith LaCour, have been married since 2013. Keith is a partner physician with Regional Radiology, practicing for the past 14 years at St. Tammany Hospital. He is a graduate of Jesuit High School and LSU Medical School New Orleans. Keith has been a member of the Krewe of Olympia for over a decade.

Angelina and Keith have lived on the Northshore for 14 years and are deeply invested in the community they proudly call home. They are animal lovers and proud donors to the Humane Society, reflecting their shared commitment to compassion and service.

Why I’m Running

I’m running for District Court Judge because I believe our community deserves a judge with real courtroom and jury trial experience, sound judgment, and a steady, principled approach to applying the law. My career has been built around protecting families, upholding the law, and serving the community I call home.

As an Assistant District Attorney in the 22nd Judicial District, I’ve handled felony cases across multiple divisions and worked before many judges, gaining broad trial and courtroom experience. Before becoming a prosecutor, I spent over a decade in law enforcement, working in patrol, investigations, and public information. That experience taught me how cases begin, how facts are developed, and how justice affects real people.

I’ve also worked in civil law and was a small business owner in St. Tammany Parish, which has given me a practical understanding of the challenges that families and employers face every day. Those perspectives shape how I view the law and the people it serves.

I’m running to bring a fair, thoughtful, and even-handed approach to the bench. An approach grounded in experience, respect for the law, and a deep commitment to the safety and well-being of the citizens of Washington and St. Tammany Parishes.
